  Reasons my husband and I were very impressed with Westside---
  >>Teaching was Bible based, w/ contemporary-translation scripture
  >>The service wasn't full of things such tradition, liturgy, or pre-written prayers
  >>Music was good quality, obviously well practiced
  >>Love and consideration were shown by person after person
  >>A few days after visiting, we received a hand-written note from the pastor who spoke
  The only thing I would suggest is that they have a wider spectrum of music in their worship service. It was all mild rock concert worship music, which is great, but it would be nice to include older contemporary worship songs & maybe even old hymns, given a modern, funky, or jazz touch.

  Westside first drew me in years ago when someone standing outside with an umbrella waved and called "hello, how are you?" before I was at the door. Everyone here is sincere and kind, eager to help one another. Pastor Gabe and his whole team are wonderful. The messages are always relevant and understandable, whether we're chewing on some Hebrew words or walking through parables alongside the apostles. Most of the year there are also study-groups outside regular service times, and there are lots of opportunities to serve the community locally and abroad through Westside. God is definitely at work in Aloha.

  I love this church family, it is a place of learning, acceptance, fun & faith. The sermons are deep enough for those that need it, and shallow enough for new Christians to follow. If you feel the need for more in-depth studies, join one of the Growth Groups! Come as you are, jeans, hats, suits, ties, dressy or casual... We just want you there!

  This is a safe place in a crazy world. People are friendly and live "No perfect people allowed" genuinely. Come as you are with questions or hurts - and feel welcomed. There are activities for babies, kids and students, too!
